Use kitty on your phone

The honest position

kitty is not in the App Store or on Google Play yet. A native shell exists in the codebase and store listings are being prepared, but nothing is submitted and there is nothing to download. Anything claiming to be a kitty.build app in a store today is not ours.

What does work, well, is installing the site as a home-screen app.

Install it

• iPhone / iPad (Safari) — open https://kitty.build, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
• Android (Chrome) — open https://kitty.build, tap ⋮, then Install app.

You get an icon, a splash screen, and a standalone window with no browser chrome.

What you get

The same product. Not a cut-down companion — the mobile layout is built for it: a bottom tab bar, slide-over navigation, bottom-sheet dialogs, proper safe-area handling around notches, and inputs sized so iOS does not zoom when you focus them.

There is no mobile-only or web-only feature. Because it is the site, improvements arrive the moment they ship, with nothing to update.

What is different on mobile

One thing, and it is a store-rules matter: plans, top-ups and payment details cannot be managed from an installed app. Open https://kitty.build in a normal browser tab for anything involving money.

Notifications

kitty can send web push, and offers a Notify me button where the browser supports it — at most one push a day: a new task for you, or one that has gone quiet. iOS only delivers web push to sites installed to the home screen, so install first, then allow notifications.

The morning report arrives by email regardless of any of this.

When the apps ship

This article gets store links the day they exist. Until then, the home-screen install is the real answer rather than a workaround.
