Generate and publish a venture's website

Generating it

Open a venture and pick the Website tab. The empty state is headed Build this venture's website.

There is an optional brief box — "waitlist-first launch page, calm/technical tone, mention the 14-day pilot…" — and leaving it empty is fine: the site is written from the venture's analysis and brand profile either way. Press Generate website. It takes about a minute, runs in the background, and emails you when it lands.

Generating or regenerating a site costs 10 Treats. The signup grant of 100 covers a validation plus a site.

Publishing it

The toolbar button reads Publish the first time and Republish after that. A published site with newer edits shows an unpublished changes marker, so you always know whether what you're looking at is live.

Two links sit beside it:

• Preview — the newest revision, visible only to your team
• The public URL — the published site, shareable with anyone

Publishing, republishing and refreshing SEO are free. Only generation is metered.

Publishing also bakes in the SEO assets: canonical tags, sitemap.xml and robots.txt.

Editing after generation

All on the same tab:

• Chat edits — one instruction, one new revision.
• Click a section in the preview and rewrite just that block.
• Revision history — the dropdown lists every version; restore any of them.
• Code view — browse the generated files read-only.
• Recipes — deterministic, no-AI additions like a careers, help or legal page.

Below the editor are cards for SEO assets (Refresh SEO), Forms (Add a form) and Articles.

The badge

Every page of every published site carries a small Built with Kitty link. It is injected at save time, so it survives model edits.

Custom domains

The Website tab has a Custom domains card. On kitty.build today this runs in sandbox: the card shows a banner telling you nothing is sent to Cloudflare and that any nameservers or records displayed are placeholders you should not enter at your registrar. Your site stays live on its kitty.build address in the meantime.

Do not repoint a real domain based on that card while the banner is showing. When custom domains go live, this article gets the DNS steps and the banner disappears. Ask us if you need a domain attached before then.
