How attribution works

Your link is https://kitty.build/r/YOURCODE. Clicking it sets a cookie that lasts 30 days.

First touch wins. If a visitor already carries someone else's referral cookie, yours does not overwrite it. Visitor IPs are hashed, never stored raw.

The hold, and why it exists

A referral's clock starts at their first payment, not at the click, and commission is held for 90 days — deliberately the same as the refund window. Paying out sooner would mean paying for customers who can still take a full, no-clawback refund.

At the end of the hold, eligibility is re-checked. A referral who cancelled, downgraded to Free or Pause, or whose payment failed inside the window earns nothing. A cancellation after the window claws nothing back.
